Hello friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It’s been mostly cloudy and rainy over here. We did lots of indoor activities with my girls. Cleaning, baking, crafting, watching Peppa Pig and drawing. 🙂 Yes, here comes the fun part! Kate, who is 3.5 years old, and Emily, 2, have lots of crayons and beautifully colorful pencils and chalks, but somehow my little one prefers to sneak up on my colorful sharpies and grab one. On several occasions, she managed to open the cap and draw on our microfiber couch and our pillow cases. I tried using alcohol and baking soda, but that just smeared the ink around. So today, I thought I would save you a headache and share a product I discovered that works like magic. It’s called Folex Carpet Spot Remover and you can get it at Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Amazon.
Here is my artist’s work:
So if this toddler disaster happens to you too, don’t panic! Breath! 🙂 Follow these steps:
- Spray Folex on the spot to dampen the stained area.
- Let is sit for a minute or two.
- Take a clean white cloth and press the stain out. Do not rub or use a brush.
- If needed, repeat the process until the stain is vanished.
Here are pictures of the clean couch again:
Ta-da! The couch is clean again and mama is happy! It takes just a few minutes to remove stains with this spray. By the way, this spray works really well for following stains as well:
- fruit juice
The most important part about this spray is that it is odor-free and NON-TOXIC, which is very important to us. I tried alcohol, vinegar solutions, and baking soda but each one failed. This post was not sponsored in any form. I just wanted to share it with you because I love it, and I think if you have small children, you will appreciate it too!
